Linkedin has added a new and powerful search function, called search updates. In the screen shot below notice right under the blue share button the new search box.
This allows you to search across the whole of Linkedin – not just your connections – for any updates on a topic that interests you. For example I entered a search for ‘female entrepreneur’ what is really brilliant is that you can then filter your search results by network, company, industry, time and location. So I could narrow the search to results in the industry of marketing and advertising. Finally, the icing on the cake, you can save the search and come back to look at it again. To go back to your saved searches simply click on the magnifier next to the search box and you will see the list of saved searches in the top left box on the updates screen.
By the way clicking on the NEW button opens a tutorial video, to give you more tips on how to use the feature.
I hope you found this useful, if so please share using the buttons below and leave me a comment if you have any other useful tips.
